Cameron has always been competetive in the sporting world. Camo excelled at middle distance running whilst at school, competing regularly in state and national level races. Upon leaving school he started cycling. Right from the beginning he found himself at home on the bike. 

Over the years Cameron has made his mark in local, state and national level races. More recently, he won the 2009 NSW road championships. Shortly after this great accomplishment, Camo was picked up by Virgin Blue - RBS Morgans for 2010. 

His accomplishments of the 2010 season have been phenomenal thus far;

- 1st in the 2nd stage of the Mersey Valley Tour,
- 3rd overall in the Mersey Valley Tour,
- 1st in the NSW hillclimb championships,
- 1st in the Blayney to Bathurst road race.
